Most people love the feeling of being on top of the world by climbing the tallest mountains and gaze at the stunning landscapes and scenery below them. If not, they revel in the feeling of flying and soaring over the sky as they ride on airplanes and helicopters.
However, those people are afraid of chasing the sky, and chase waters instead. If you love chasing waters, make sure to add the stunning, best beaches of 2018 that will surely take your breath away! And guess what? The top of the list was seen in an iconic K-drama series!
The Most Stunning Beach in the World
The renowned airfare agency FlightNetwork consulted around 1,200 travel experts around the world to pick their most beautiful, postcard-perfect, stunning beach destinations around the world.
Taking the top of the list is the famous Navagio Beach, also known as the Shipwreck Beach in Zakynthos, Greece. The name of this beach paradise is based from the shipwrecked Freightliner MV Panagiotis, with its rusty remains sitting anchored against the towering and stunning golden cliffs in the hidden cove.
FlightNetwork also says the stunning beach has become immensely popular in recent years and experienced a spike in visitors due to its significant role in the hit K-drama series “Descendants of the Sun“.
The stunning beach served as one of the character’s major backdrops as their improbable romance bloomed in the fictional country of Urku. The 16-episode drama started airing in 2016 two years ago and it had broken viewership records in South Korea, with nearly 40% of its population watching its final episode in April 2016. The rest of the featured beaches on the list are the following:
Whitehaven Beach, Australia
This long and stunning 7km stretch of white-sand beach along Whitsunday Island, Australia, is known as a haven site for beach barbecue parties, and is a known camping facility in the country.
You can go to the beach via boat, helicopter, or seaplane from either Airlie Beach or Hamilton Island. You might want to dismiss the idea of bringing your beloved dogs and other pets on the beach, though, as they aren’t permitted in the area. Also, non-smokers can enjoy hitting the beach since smoking is also prohibited on the beach.
Grace Bay, Turks, and Caicos
If you want to enjoy a luxurious oceanfront accommodation, go to Grace Bay Turks and Caicos in the Carribean. This all-suite resort offers an expensive 11-acre property where the guests can experience villa suites, Anani spa, stunning beach and pools, and extreme adventures.
Next in the agency’s list is the beautiful beach in Southeast Asia, the Hidden Beach in El Nido, Palawan in the Philippines. While the beach’s location is pretty far and secluded, it’s worth the trip because of its crystal clear waters and fine white sand.
Its rugged appearance also displays the nature’s rawness and purity. You can relax on the beach as you swim in its clear waters, or just gaze at the stunning limestone seascape formations.
Seven Mile Beach, Cayman Islands
Seven Mile Beach is named as the ultimate beach on the western side of Grand Cayman. This white-sand beach attracts travelers from different countries due to its sparkling waters and coral sands, as you walk along the shoreline that is home to Carribean’s most luxurious properties.
You’ll also stumble on a variety of restaurants offering exotic Carribean cuisine and several beach bars to drink and chill with your friends. If you want some adventures, you can work on your tan as you watch the waves crashing on the shore between your feet, or partake in parasailing.
