You would think that an expansive mansion in Hollywood Hills would get snatched up the moment it hits the market, right?
Unfortunately, this has not been the case for Katy Perry, who has tried to sell her Hollywood home twice before but found nothing but disappointment due to low buyer interest. Finally, however, the house is off her hands at the third offloading attempt.

The property was first listed in September 2017 and taken off the market in December the same year, with Katy having owned it for about four years by then. She had acquired the sprawling home form Aileen Getty, the oil heiress, in 2013 for a whopping $8.2 million.
It later appeared on the market again in March last year, with the singer asking for $9.285 million for it this time. In August, it was on the market for a reduced price of $8.95 million. This time around, the property appeared as a pending sale in public listing records.
Need Space? You Got It!
Spanning across 7,418 square feet, the mansion is complete with four bedrooms supplemented by four full bathrooms plus two half ones, all in full display of a seemingly relaxing, fancy Mediterranean style.
The whole estate sits on a little over two acres of land and can be commended for its privacy. A long-gated driveway shielded by trees on either side takes one to the house, offering the residents with the seclusion they may desire. Complementing the main house is a two-story guest house with a garage to boot, a designated fitness center, and a guardhouse hosting the security team.

Second but First
The second floor in the main house is its most impressive, partly because it is dedicated to the master suite in its entirety. The master bedroom has high ceilings, as well as an airy feel about it, a grand wood-burning fireplace highlighting the separate reading area, and a private terrace that one gets to via striking French doors.
The suites dominant feature, however, is its Roman-style bath. The master bath has a soaking tub and sits under a skylight at the center of the room. A blend of white, grey, and red tiles give the place a uniquely traditional flair that contrasts positively with the modern amenities available, providing the ultimate relaxing experience.
Outside, in the backyard, fruit trees fill the meditation gardens, providing the peace and quiet necessary for one to get lost in their thoughts and do some soul-searching. A fountain enhances the calming environment, while a swimming pool, cabana, a fireplace, and an outdoor pizza oven complete the backyard look. Pretty impressive, is it not?

Over the years, Katy Perry has steadily grown her real estate portfolio. She owns the two-bedroom house next door to this mansion she’s selling, having bought it in 2013. In Beverly Hills, Ms. Perry owns another five-bedroom mansion which she snatched up for $19 million in 2017. Late into 2018, she also purchased a $7.5 million guesthouse steps away from her main residence.
