Fans were shocked after Amanda Bynes announced her engagement on Valentine’s Day.
Bynes quietly announced her engagement via a photo of a massive emerald-cut on her ring finger. She uploaded it on Instagram and wrote that she’s engaged to the love of her life.
The next day, fans were given a treat as the former Nickelodeon star showed off a sweet selfie with her fiancé that she uploaded on Instagram with the caption, “Lover”. The 33-year-old actress stood next to her future husband in the photo posted on February 15.

E! News confirmed that Bynes is engaged to 28-year-old Paul Michael, and they have been dating for a couple of months. The Blast said that Paul is from San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, and his father is a well-known doctor in the area.
While some fans were ecstatic about the news, some also continue to speculate if the announcement was a complete joke. However, The Blast has confirmed that the engagement is legit.
A source who is close to the actress also spilled that the love birds met in 2019 in a sober living facility, after Bynes checked in due to some stress-related issues. It’s also said that the She’s the Man actress looks happy.

One Entertainment Tonight source said that Bynes is still under a conservatorship. The actress’s mother, Lynn, is the conservator.
This means that Bynes is only allowed to be legally married if she gets the approval of the judge and her mother.
But even with the speedy courtship and the sudden engagement, her parents are not surprised by the announcement. A source also told Mirror that her family is already aware of the news, but the approval of the marriage is not yet confirmed.

Since the What A Girl Wants star has kept her social media activity relatively low-key for years, her recent posts are a rare occasion. On December 30, 2019, she posted a selfie of her new heart-shaped face tattoo on her left cheek.
Bynes also recently posted a video on her Instagram story where she announced her next project. She will soon release her new fashion line in the near future.
In June 2019, she has acquired her associate degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. She shared her photo on Twitter wearing a graduation cap and posing next to a friend.
