Love stories that begin on a television set do not always lead to real-life happy endings.
For Tyler Lepley and Miracle Watts, however, their relationship continued well beyond the cameras. After meeting while working on Starz’s “P-Valley,” the couple exchanged vows during a private wedding ceremony in Los Cabos, Mexico.
The celebration reflected their desire to focus on family, meaningful traditions, and the people who have supported them throughout their journey.
An Intimate Wedding in Mexico
Tyler Lepley and Miracle Watts married on Saturday, July 25, at the Acre Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico. Instead of planning a large celebrity event, the couple chose a small gathering with close relatives and longtime friends.
Speaking to Essence, Watts explained the reason behind their decision.
“We made a conscious decision to keep our guest list intimate. It wasn’t about inviting famous people or making a statement, it was about surrounding ourselves with the people who have truly loved, supported and been part of our journey. Having our closest family and friends there made the entire celebration feel incredibly personal and full of love.”
The smaller guest list created a warm atmosphere where every moment carried personal meaning.
Emotional Moments During the Ceremony
One of the most memorable parts of the wedding came when Miracle Watts walked down the aisle with both of her parents.
She described the experience by saying, “Walking down the aisle was a feeling I’ll never be able to fully put into words. I didn’t know what to expect. I was overwhelmed with so many emotions, and the moment literally took my breath away.”
Watts also explained why sharing that walk with both parents meant so much.
“Having both my mom and dad walk me down the aisle made it even more special. Feeling their emotions in that moment made everything so much more meaningful, and it’s a memory I’ll always hold close.”
The ceremony also included a unique family tribute. Rather than following the traditional bouquet toss, Watts presented her bouquet to her mother as a heartfelt gesture.
She explained, “My mom and I have always had such a close bond, and I wanted to honor her in a way that reflected our relationship. I was already able to share a father-daughter dance with my dad, so creating a special moment just for my mom felt right. It was one of the most emotional parts of the day for both of us.”
A First Dance to Remember
The couple’s first dance became another highlight of the celebration. Watts described the experience as feeling “straight out of a fairy tale.”
She recalled, “Being in Tyler’s arms, feeling so safe and so loved, it was like the rest of the room disappeared. I remember thinking, ‘Wow, we really made it. After everything we’ve experienced together, sharing that moment as husband and wife felt surreal.'”
The moment reflected the strong connection the couple has built since meeting on the set of “P-Valley.”
From Engagement to Marriage
Tyler Lepley proposed to Miracle Watts on November 3, 2024. The engagement was announced on Instagram with photos showing the couple dressed in matching black outfits in front of a heart-shaped arch made of white roses. A glowing sign reading “Will You Marry Me” stood behind the floral display, while Lepley knelt during the proposal. Watts kept the caption simple, sharing only a ring emoji, “💍.”
The couple also shares a son, Xi Lei Lepley, who was born in September 2022.
